This day started at a karaoke joint and ended at Taco Bell, with lots of laughs and bonding in between. I got to photograph some gorgeous dresses by Tokyo-based designer Chie Duncan of Viva Veritas, who graciously let me include jewelry by Tuli in the styling. Akbani Artflower provided the florals.
The set was modeled by my good friend Stefanie, with hair by Ge Ma and makeup by Junko Arai, who I'd met on set with a different designer -- only that time I was the model. (I can't speak for Junko, but I think she had much more fun styling Stefanie's gorgeous hair than she did trying to tame my crazy locks.)
We shot in Tokyo's beautiful Hamarikyu Garden, which is designed to be a different color every season. For us in February, that color was yellow!
One of the best parts of my job is meeting new people. Our entire team was energetic, friendly and creative, so it made for a great day. And, of course, the Japanese sunset over Tokyo's skyline did not disappoint.
